The Kalinga Lancers began their HIL campaign with a 3-1 defeat against the UP Rudras, while the Dragons suffered a penalty shootout loss to Soorma Hockey Club after their match ended in a 1-1 draw during regulation time.
As the two teams gear up for this encounter, the Dragons sit sixth on the points table with one point, whereas the Lancers remain at the bottom, yet to secure their first points of the season.
