Shikhar Dhawan was the first among the Indian cricketers to extend prayers for the deplorable state in Afghanistan. He tweeted, “Praying for the people of Afghanistan. Praying for peace and safety.”

Minutes after Dhawan’s tweet, former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina also put across his sentiments for the Afghan people. Raina’s tweet read, “My heart goes out to people of Afganistan. No one deserves to go through such humanitarian crisis.”
Just a few days back, Afghanistan’s famous leg spinner- Rashid Khan appealed to the world leaders to help his countrymen.
