‘Taking luck and moving on’: Mantra of Rajat Patidar, Cameron Green ahead of RCB vs CSK

Rajat Patidar scored his 5th half century of the season in the RCB vs DC game

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru extended their winning streak to five matches with a commanding victory over the Delhi Capitals at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Rajat Patidar’s explosive half-century, coupled with a determined performance from Cameron Green, propelled the hosts to a resounding 47-run win, keeping their hopes of qualifying for the IPL 2024 playoffs alive. The duo will look to emulate their performances when RCB take on CSK in a game that can make or break their qualification chances

Rajat Patidar and Cameron Green orchestrate RCB’s win

Although Royal Challengers Bengaluru faced early setbacks with the dismissals of skipper Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli within the powerplay, Rajat Patidar‘s resilient innings turned the tide in their favour. Patidar, supported by Will Jacks, steadied the innings with a crucial partnership of around 90 runs. Cameron Green’s all-round contribution, including a vital 32 runs with the bat and an economical bowling spell of 19 runs in four overs, earned him the Player of the Match accolade.

Reflecting on the win, Cameron Green said ‘‘It is great when your team finally clicks and the results go your way. So we take the luck and move on to the next game.’‘ While Patidar was rather happy about gaining the momentum.

Can RCB qualify for IPL 2024 playoffs with a win against CSK

Looking ahead, the upcoming clash between RCB and Chennai Super Kings will be pivotal for both teams in their quest for a playoff berth. With RCB currently on 12 points, a convincing victory over CSK could secure their passage to the playoffs. However, RCB will still have some challenges in qualifying for the playoffs. Since RCB can only equal CSK and not overcome them, they must improve CSK’s Net Run Rate. However, RCB will still have some challenges in qualifying for the playoffs.
