The countdown for the T20 World Cup 2024 has begun with the announcements of fixtures on Friday. England will seek to defend their T20 World Cup title won in 2022. Other strong sides such as India, Australia, West Indies, New Zealand, Pakistan and South Africa will look for glory themselves. This will be the 9th edition of the T20 World Cup which started in 2007. India were the inaugural winners of the tournament, with England being the latest winners.
All total, there have been six different winners of the trophy, with two teams winning the trophy twice. India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Australia have won the T20 World Cup once, with England and West Indies lifting the cup twice.
