The India vs Bangladesh series is over and now the focus turns towards the upcoming IND vs NZ Tests. With crucial World Test Championship (WTC) points up for grabs, Rohit Sharma and Co will be desperate to bring out their A game. The Test series against the Kiwis is extremely important as it serves as the dress rehearsal for the upcoming Border Gavaskar Trophy.
India Cricket Team will play 3 Test matches against the Black Caps starting from 16th October. But the hosts will be keen to perform well for two specific reasons – 1. The Border Gavaskar Trophy, 2. The WTC Finals. The BGT is important for India to secure their third consecutive WTC Finals. And for a relaxed BGT tour, India needs a whitewash against the Kiwis at home.

India ready for New Zealand Series
The BCCI has already announced the squad for the Test series against New Zealand. And now the team is gearing up for the upcoming Test matches. In fact India now has just 8 Test matches left before the WTC Finals. With no scope for slip-ups, the seniors were thus rested from the IND vs BAN T20Is.
