The ICC T20 World Cup is just 5 months away. Former India star player, Yuvraj Singh has picked his favorite youngsters for the Men in Blue. As the Men in Blue prepares, Yuvraj has banked on Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shubman Gill, Shivam Dube and Tilak Varma to perform well in the ICC Tournament.
While Yuvraj shied away from picking India’s preferred captain for the T20 World Cup, he was prudent to pick the youngsters. Furthermore, Yuvraj has claimed that SKY becomes a different player when he plays the shortest format of the game.
“As for youngsters, a lot of players are performing well. For example, Ruturaj Gaikwad is doing very well. Shubman Gill has been performing for a while. In the last match Shivam Dube played well. I think we need a left hander in the middle. Tilak Varma too is a very good all rounder. Now it is upto the selectors to see what is your best combination,” said Yuvraj Singh in an interview with Sports Today.
Currently, Shubman Gill is a regular in the India Cricket Team. Ruturaj Gaikwas is currently injured but has been a decent backup for the opener’s spot. On the other hand, Tilak Varma rose through the ranks in the shortest format of the game.
“Suryakumar becomes a different player in T20Is. So you have see what is your best combination. To win the World Cup, I think you need to have a fearless attitude,” Yuvraj claimed.
