England became the World Champions for the first time in 2019 under Eoin Morgan’s leadership and will be eying their second T20 title in the ongoing showpiece event. England is placed in Super 12 Group 1 alongside defending champions Windies, South Africa, Australia, and Bangladesh.

Two Back-to-back World Cups: With the ICC World Cups scheduled back-to-back – T20 World Cup in Australia next year and an ODI World Cup in India in 2023, Eoin Morgan says results will determine if he will be playing both the tournaments or not.

“I certainly see myself this time next year playing, hopefully, a really strong role in another T20 World Cup,” Morgan told the BBC on Thursday. That is the expectation I have put on myself,” Morgan told the BBC.

“I am not sure about another two (tournaments). Obviously, results determine how well you do and how often you are kept on. But certainly, my hunger and determination are as strong as ever,” he further added.

England won the 2010 T20 World Cup by registering 7 wickets win over Australia in the final and ended up as runners-up in the 2016 T20 World Cup after Windies turned out victorious by 4 wickets on the back of Carlos Brathwaite’s heroic in the final.
