T20 World Cup: The ICC T20 World Cup 2021 Super 12 stage is almost upon us. The top 8 teams in ICC rankings are playing warm-up matches while the remaining teams are fighting for the four spots in Super 12. Virat Kohli’s Team India, Eoin Morgan’s England and Temba Bavuma’s South Africa’s dominated in their warm-up games. Now that the teams are heading into the real deal many sides will be counting on their experienced players to deliver. However, teams like India, England, South Africa and West Indies will want their ICC tournament debutant to put their best foot forward and help to reach the next stage. Virat Kohli’s side has Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav, South Africa has Rassie van der Dussen, England has Liam Livingstone while West Indies has Obed McCoy who will be making their debut in the ICC tournaments.

Team India – Suryakumar Yadav

Riding on the back of outstanding performances for Mumbai Indians in the last two seasons of IPL, Suryakumar Yadav made entry into the Indian team. His consistency throughout the last two years in domestic cricket and at the international level as well helped him replace injured Shreyas Iyer. He made his international debut for Team India in 2021. So far he has played 4 matches in which 139 runs with the help of 2 fifties and has an average of 46.33. The right-hand batsman known for innovative shots has a strike rate of 169.51. He is almost sure to feature in India’s first game against Pakistan, batting at number 4.

England – Liam Livingstone

England’s latest batting sensation Liam Livingstone who was in top-notch form in the 1st edition of The Hundred will be playing his first ICC event for England. He had scored 348 runs in The Hundred where he smashed 28 sixes in the match. For England, The talisman made his debut in 2017 but was dropped after the South Africa series where he made his T20I debut. So far he has scored 206 runs in 8 games for England with a century in it. He has a strike rate of 167.47 in T20I. 

South Africa – Rassie van der Dussen

South Africa’s Rassie van der Dussen scored an outstanding century in their 2nd warm-up game against Pakistan to help Proteas chase down a huge total. The innings must-have gives Rassie a big boost ahead of his first ICC event. The talisman has scored 756 runs for South Africa in T20I with a strike rate of 134.76 and an average of 36. He will aim to make an impactful performance in his first ICC event.

West Indies – Obed McCoy

West Indies will be having high hopes from Obed McCoy who has impressed in CPL 2021 and the Windies recent series. The left-arm pacer has taken 45 wickets in 34 T20s with a strike rate of 14.90. In T20I he has taken 19 wickets for Men in Maroon in 12 matches. The pacer made his debut in 2019 and will be playing his first ICC event. 

Team India – Ishan Kishan

Mumbai Indians wicket-keeper batsman Ishan Kishan paved his way to the Indian cricket team with some quality batting performances in the last two IPL seasons. In 2021 the talisman made his debut in international cricket where he impressed everyone which helped him find a spot in the T20 WC squad. In his T20 career, the southpaw has scored 2693 runs in 108 matches with a strike rate of 133.84. He will be excited to deliver in his first ICC event.
