T20 WORLD CUP Namibia (NAM) Overview – Namibia didn’t play any T20 cricket in the pandemic-affected year of 2020 and had very little time to prepare for the mega event. They hosted Uganda, a Zimbabwean and South African Emerging side, along with a South African domestic team, Titans, to prepare for the World Cup. Interestingly, Namibia beat Titans which included South Africa test captain Dean Elgar.
However, they couldn’t find success in the two warmup matches that took place on October 12 and 14. Namibia suffered 32 runs defeat against Oman and 19 runs defeat against Scotland respectively in the two games.
Namibia Probable Playing11 –
Stephan Baard, Zane Green (wk), Craig Williams, Gerhard Erasmus (c), David Wiese, JJ Smit, Jan Frylinck, Bernard Scholtz, Ruben Trumpelmann, Ben Shikongo, Pikky Ya France
