T20 World Cup: Ravi Shastri Calls Management to Handle Bumrah and Hardik carefully – With barely a couple of months remaining for the ICC T20 World Cup, former India coach Ravi Shastri wants the management to put their focus on players like Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah. Shastri considers both players to be vital cogs in the Indian team and that the duo should be observed carefully and they cannot be allowed to break down before the much anticipated World Cup. T20 World Cup: Ravi Shastri wants management to handle Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah with care, ‘needs to be observed carefully, cannot afford them to breakdown before WC’“Hardik Pandya is one of the most important cog in the wheel as far as India is concerned. You take him out, and the balance goes awry. That is how important he is. We missed him in the WC when he could not bowl. It makes a massive difference,” said Ravi Shastri at a Press conference.
Hardik Pandya is one of the star all-rounders that the present Indian cricket team has in their arsenal. Shastri has deeply emphasized how removing Pandya from the team disrupts the entire balance of the squad. In the last World Cup, Hardik was missed for his injury and India suffered accordingly as they lost a medium pacer from their ranks.

In terms of batting in the middle order and finishing a game, there is no one better than Pandya. The same can be said about star Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah. The fiery bowler is known for damaging the opposition. And thus as a result, Shastri wants the team management to carefully handle these two superstars.
“There is no one close to him when it comes to the quality he posses at that number. Extremely important and has to be watched closely. And with the number of matches coming up, Hardik is the last player u want to play all those matches. The bilateral and everything about the World Cup. Two players crucial are Bumrah and Hardik. Have to be observed very carefully. They cannot break down before World Cup,” he added.
Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the Asia Cup owing to an injury. It is currently unclear whether he can be available for the World Cup scheduled to take place in October. The Men in Blue do not want their star bowler to rush through his injury and return back into the squad.
