Papua New Guinea star batter Sese Bau has created history by becoming the first player to hit 50 for Papua New Guinea against a full-member nation. An icing on the cake was that he achieved this milestone against the two-time champions, the West Indies in the ongoing T20 World Cup.
Although he didn’t receive much solid support from the other batters in the ongoing T20 World Cup match between PNG and WI, the West Indies have maintained a solid grip on the game so far. However, by scoring 50 runs off 43 balls, he ensured that the team achieved a decent score.
West Indies bowlers overwhelm PNG’s batting line-up
Speaking more about the ongoing T20 World Cup game between the West Indies and Papua New Guinea, the West Indies bowlers have played like champions, as PNG found it difficult to face the West Indies’ bowling attack and were able to accumulate only 136 runs in 20 overs, thanks to Sese Bau’s impressive knock.
After the PNG innings, Bau said, “The pitch was slow to start off with and then got hard. I just trusted my batting and kept going. The bowlers should stick to their plans and execute if they do that then we will win”.
