As per the ICC rules, teams can name a 15-member squad and 3 reserves. But this time, the squad is expected to be larger. Teams are allowed to make changes in the squad till October 10th. As of now Australia, New Zealand and Pakistan have announced their squad for the mega event.
“I’ll be putting no pressure on him or rushing him, and whatever support he needs he will get. I will give him as much space as I can, but there are people talking to him,” said Silverwood. My only concern is for him. I just want to make sure he’s OK. Once we’ve got to that, the rest of the questions will come,” England coach Chris Silverwood said.

Will Ben Stokes be named in the squad?
T20 World Cup – England Squad T20 WC: According to a report by Daily Mail, Ben Stokes is unlikely to travel to UAE for T20 World Cup. The report has quoted sources close to Stokes and declared ‘he is not even thinking about cricket at the moment’. Just before the India tour of England, England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) had announced that Stokes is taking an indefinite period off from cricket to protect his mental well-being and rest a fractured finger operated on earlier this summer. Report says, at this stage it is unclear and no one knows when Stokes will return to cricket.
