T20 World Cup: Mohammed Siraj finds form in IPL 2024 in a major boost for Team India

Mohammed Siraj finds form in IPL 2024, major boost for Indian Cricket Team right before start of ICC T20 World Cup

The ICC T20 World Cup is just 3 weeks away. But things have started to fall in place for the Indian Cricket Team. One of the major crisis for Team India was their weak pace bowling strength. But as IPL 2024 progressed Mohammed Siraj continued to put in some strong performances which is a major boost for the Men in Blue.

India were in a precarious situation. It was ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah who would be leading the charge in the absence of Mohammed Shami. There were lingering doubts about Siraj’s selection given that he started IPL 2024 on a horrible note for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

All said and done, Siraj found himself along with Arshdeep Singh in the India Squad for the T20 World Cup. But as the tournament progressed, Siraj went on to find his rhythm. RCB too bounced back to register 5 consecutive wins on a trot to keep their IPL Playoffs hopes alive.

Where RCB make it to the knockouts is a different scenario. But most importantly, Mohammed Siraj firing on all cylinders is extremely good news for the Men in Blue. Jasprit Bumrah has been the standout bowler for Mumbai Indians, picking up 20 wickets in 13 games.

Arshdeep has managed 16 wickets from 12 games. On the other hand, after a late surge, Siraj has gone on to bag 12 wickets from 12 games. India will be hugely dependant on this pace trio to perform on all cylinders in the T20 World Cup.
