Two teams, Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings have been officially eliminated from the race for IPL 2024. This means, the Indian stars will now get 4 days of rest before traveling to USA for the ICC T20 World Cup. As a result, Rohit Sharma and fellow stars will depart for the United States on 24th May.
BCCI secretary Jay Shah confirmed that the first batch of Indian stars and team staff will fly to USA on 24th May. On the other hand, the second batch of players will depart for US after the IPL 2024 final on 26th May.

4 players from Mumbai Indians are a part of the India squad. These include skipper Rohit Sharma, Vice captain Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah and Suryakumar Yadav. From Punjab Kings, ace pacer Arshdeep Singh will also be a part of the first batch to travel to USA.
These 5 will be joined by the players from other teams who will fail to make it to the top 4. On the other hand, the stars making it to the knockouts will depart and join the first batch at a later date.
Gujarat Titans are also on the verge of getting knocked out. Should GT lose their next clash against Chennai Super Kings, then Shubman Gill will also accompany the team. But he is not a part of the main squad and will be a part of 4 players as the traveling reserve.
