Opting to bat, the Netherlands had a shaky start as they lost the opener, Ben Cooper, in the first over, due to a mix-up. They were soon reduced to 22-2 in the fifth over. However, what really turned the match into Ireland’s favour was Curtis Campher’s 4 wickets off 4 balls as the Dutch slipped from 51/3 to 51/6 in the tenth over. From then, Irelands really dominated the game and bowled out the Netherlands at a mere total of 106/10 after Mark Adair picked up three wickets in the final over.
Campher removed Colin Ackermann, Ryan ten Doeschate, and Scott Edwards to take a hat-trick and then added Roelof van der Merwe to the list of his victims.

Coming to chase, Ireland also faced early blows as they were reduced 36/2 inside the powerplay. However, with not too many runs to chase down, Irelands finally crossed the line in 16th overs with opener Paul Stirling returning unbeaten on 30. Gareth Delany also played a handy knock of 44 off 29 in the run chase.
A comprehensive victory for Ireland 💪
