IND vs NZ – T20 World Cup: India had a forgetful outing in the opening clash against arch-rivals Pakistan and will be itching to bounce back against Kane Williamson’s side on October 31 in Dubai.
In the last six meetings between both teams in ICC tournaments, New Zealand holds the edge with five wins out of six. India’s only victory was way back in the 2003 World Cup under Sourav Ganguly’s leadership.
- 2000 ICC Knockout Trophy, Nairobi: NZ won
- 2003 ICC World Cup, Super 6, Centurion: India won
- 2007 World T20 league, Johannesburg: NZ won
- 2016 T20 World Cup Super-10, Nagpur: NZ won
- 2019 ICC World Cup Semi-final, Manchester: NZ won
- 2021 the inaugural World Test Championship (WTC): NZ won
However, the Men in Blue haven’t lost against the Kiwis in T20Is since February 2019 and would be eying to keep the streak alive. Virat Kohli & Co. would also be eying to take revenge for their 2019 WC exit in the semi-finals at the hands of Kane Williamson’s side.
