No Virat Kohli against Australia, Rohit Sharma is leading the side: So, the big news is that regular skipper Virat Kohli has been rested today and his deputy Rohit Sharma will be leading the side against the Aussies. Jasprit Bumrah and M Shami who were in red hot form with the ball against England too have been given rest.
So, was the discussion at the starting all about this? Well, we will be getting more of such discussions and strategies as India begins its WC T20 campaign with the much-awaited high-tension clash against arch-rival Pakistan on October 24, Sunday in Dubai.
Hardik Pandya continues to be the talking point: Here’s an update Rohit Sharma gave on Hardik Pandya at the Toss against Australia –
“Hardik is coming along pretty well, but it’ll be a while before he will start to bowl. He hasn’t started bowling, but he should be ready by the start of the tournament. We have quality in the main bowlers, but you need an option for a 6th bowler.”
