T20 World Cup 2024 warm-up matches: The cricketing world is gearing up for the T20 World Cup, set to be played in the USA and the Caribbean starting in June. The International Cricket Council (ICC) recently announced the schedule for warm-up matches, revealing some interesting details:

Limited T20 WC warm-up for Team India

No Warm-Ups for Pakistan and England

Pakistan and England cricket fans might be surprised to find their teams absent from the warm-up schedule. This is because both sides are already scheduled to play a four-match T20I series later this month, effectively serving as their pre-tournament preparation.

Flexibility in T20 World Cup warm-up options

This year’s T20 World Cup offers more flexibility compared to previous editions. Teams can now choose to play up to two warm-up matches, depending on their arrival schedule. These matches will be standard 20-over contests, but won’t hold official T20 International status. This allows teams to experiment with their full 15-member squads before the high-pressure matches of the World Cup.
