After a successful ODI World Cup, The International Cricket Council (ICC) is gearing up to organise the T20 World Cup in 2024 next year. The tournament is scheduled to be between June 4-30 in USA and West Indies. The fixture for the 8-team tournament is anticipated to be made public this week.
According to The Telegraph, ICC is set to announce the T20 World Cup 2024 fixture this week.
The report has further claimed that England and Australia will be drawn in the same group to attract more fans to the stadium.
Apart from taping on the Australia vs England cricket rivalry, ICC will continue to manipulate the draw to put India and Pakistan in same group.
Both Asian countries are likely to play the group stage game in New York.
Telegraph has also reported that all of England’s matches, in the group and Super Eight stages, will be played in West Indies.
Grand Prairie in Dallas, Broward County in Florida and Nassau County in New York have been confirmed as the three US venues for the tournament.
Meanwhile, Antigua & Barbuda, Barbados, Guyana, Saint Lucia, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, and Trinidad & Tobago will host matches in West Indies.
