England will look to defend the T20 World Cup trophy when they participate in the 2024 edition. Jos Buttler’s side is the only team other than West Indies to win the T20 World Cup twice. They have the chance to become the first side to win three T20 World Cup trophies and England will be giving it their all. The T20 World Cup 2024 will be played in Round Robin format. 20 qualified teams have been divided into four groups with each group consisting of 5 teams. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the Super 8 stage.
England have been drawn into Group B of the tournament. It should not be too hard for Jos Buttler’s team to qualify to the Super 8 stage, given the other teams in the group. Other than England, Australia, Oman, Scotland and Namibia make up Group B.
England begin their campaign against Scotland on 4th June in Barbados. Buttler and co. will then play the match of the group with archrivals Australia on 8th June before taking on Oman on 13th June. Their final group stage game will see England lock horns with Namibia on 15th June.
