T20 World Cup 2022:  Star India batters Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav penned down special messages for the fans after a disappointing end to the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 campaign. Both expressed their gratitude to the enthusiastic crowds who supported every game they played in Australia. “Thank you to all our fans who turned up in huge numbers throughout to support us in the stadiums. Kohli shared another tweet along with a picture of team India addressing this tumultuous World Cup season with the caption, “We leave Australian shores short of achieving our dream and with disappointment in our hearts but we can take back a lot of memorable moments as a group and aim to get better from here on.”

Suryakumar Yadav also shared a heartfelt message on his Twitter account. “Hurtful loss. Forever grateful to our fans who create electrifying atmosphere, no matter where we play. Thankful for the undying support for each other, proud of the hardwork put in by this team &support staff. Proud to play for my country We will reflect &come back stronger!”, he tweeted.

IND vs ENG Highlights: India scored 168/6 in 20 overs at Adelaide Oval on Thursday, fuelled by Hardik Pandya’s 33-ball 68 and Virat Kohli’s fourth fifty of the tournament. In reply, Jos Buttler and Alex Hales mocked the 169-run target India set for England. The openers successfully chased it down with just four overs remaining, securing their spot against Pakistan in the championship game at the MCG. As England concluded with a total of 170/0, Buttler finished with 80 off 49 balls and Hales with 86 off 47.

When it comes to their performances, Kohli and Suryakumar had a fantastic tournament with the bat.  Kohli was at his top form and went back to his classic best, scoring four fifty-plus scores and going 82 not out against Pakistan.  Kohli finished the tournament with 296 runs from six games and a strike rate of 136.40. Suryakumar, on the other hand, had a scorching strike rate of 189.65 and scored 239 runs in six innings.
