T20 WC Promo: The T20 World Cup 2022 countdown has already begun with less than one month to go. The ICC event is scheduled to start from October 19 in Australia. India are looked upon as strong contenders alongside teams like England, Australia and others. And former India opener Gautam Gambhir believes it is time for India to get back the trophy. Gambhir was part of India’s T20 World Cup winning squad in 2007. It was the inaugural edition of the ICC event. The Indian team comprised of a young bunch, sans the stars including Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly etc.

“The feeling of a T20 WC win has ben over a decade now. SO much has changed, but the feeling has not come now. It is time for the feeling to return back. The time has come to bring the cup home. It has been long since that winning feel. Lets go India,” he said in the Star Sports World Cup promo video.

It is always their batting, which looks super strong. The likes of KL Rahul, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma instil fear in the opponents. Add Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya in the mix, India have it in them to outbat teams.
But there are worrying shines for Team India ahead of the World Cup. There are concerns in the bowling line-up. India have been found wanting in the death overs, and the form of Bhuvneshwar Kumar is another worry. Without Jasprit Bumrah, India showed their weaknesses in the bowling department. In fact, they failed to even reach the final of the Asia Cup.
