In what comes as a good news for Team India, star batsman Suryakumar Yadav will soon be in action, after missing the Duldeep Trophy for the first two rounds due to a thumb injury. As per a report, Surya will be back in action in the third round matches, and will play for Ruturaj Gaikwad’s India C, who are slated to face India A from September 19.
That also paves way for him play and lead Team India in the T20I series vs Bangladesh, that is slated to begin from October 6. Meanwhile, Suryakumar had suffered a thumb injury while playing for Mumbai in the Buchi Babu Invitational Tournament in Coimbatore.
Surya to Lead in IND vs BAN T20Is
After the two match-Test series, all the focus will shift to the T20I series. Suryakumar Yadav, while travelling from Bengaluru to Anantpur in a car, posted a picture. ‘Next stop: Anantapur,” he wrote on social media. The IND vs BAN T20I series will start in Gwalior from October 6, followed by Delhi on October 9, and Hyderabad on October 12.
