SKY falls in love with Protean power, says ‘That’s the brand of cricket we talked about’

Suryakumar Yadav becomes a fan of brute aggressive Protean approach, asserts his love for this brand of cricket

India Cricket Team might have lost the IND vs SA 2nd T20I, but skipper Suryakumar Yadav was impressed with the opposition. The Proteas side chased down the revised target in less than 15 overs to seal a 5 wicket win to take a 1–0 lead in the 3 match T20I series.

“At the halfway stage, I thought it was a par score but they batted beautifully in the first 5-6 overs and took the game away from us. It was the brand of cricket we were talking about, just go out and express ourselves,” said Suryakumar Yadav after the match.

SKY was visually impressed in the tremendous fashion by which the South African side started the run chase. Batting first India scored 180/7 in 19.3 overs before rain brought an early end to proceedings.

As per the Duckworth Lewis method the Proteas was asked to chase 152 runs in 15 overs. The hosts began their carnage from the first ball as they went on to slam 14 runs in the first over. SKY complemented their charge by claiming “It was the brand of cricket we were talking about, just go out and express ourselves”.

“It was tough with the wet ball, but we would face similar situations in the future and it’s a good learning for us. Looking forward to the third T20I,” SKY concluded.

With the first game abandoned and SA taking a dominant 1-0 lead, Inda will look to comeback strongly in the final game of the series and tie the series with a similar approach in the next game.
