"Surprised" Travis Head reveals what "well bowled" Mohammed Siraj told him in fiery send-off in IND vs AUS 2nd Test

Australian batter Travis Head’s destructive innings came to an end thanks to Mohammed Siraj, but it wasn’t complete between a fiery send-off. Head, who starred with a whirlwind 140-run knock, was cleaned up by the Indian pacer, following which words were exchanged between the two. While Siraj had all the right to be pumped up as he finally put an end to the carnage, the Australian batter felt so otherwise, at least at that point of time.

Travis Head opens up on Siraj’s fiery send off

After play on Day 2 of IND vs AUS 2nd Test in Adelaide, Travis Head opened up on what went down between him and Siraj after his dismissal. Head revealed that he had told the Indian pacer “well bowled” to which Siraj had pointed to the Australian dug out, indicating him to keep walking. The Australian batter stated that he had a reaction of his own to that taunt, adding that he was surprised to see Siraj’s reaction, given the situation of the game. Commentators on air had also expressed similar views over Siraj’s send off to Travis Head.

I actually jokingly said ‘well bowled’, then he pointed me in the sheds and I had my reaction as well. I don’t want to give it too much airtime. I feel like the way I play the game I would like a better reaction. I was surprised at the reaction in terms of the situation of the game and the lead up. There was no confrontation leading up to it,” Head said.
