DC vs CSK: Matheesha Pathirana takes off of to take 'Catch of IPL 2024' to dismiss David Warner of Delhi Capitals

A big contender for ‘Catch of The Tournament’. Matheesha Pathirana took a sensational one handed catch to dismiss David Warner in the DC vs CSK clash. The DC opener was on song after hitting a stunning fifty. But a moment of magic was all that was needed by CSK.

The young Sri Lankan pacer just flew to take a one handed thrilling catch to turn the tide in CSK’s favour. Delhi Capitals got off to a great start. Both openers David Warner and Prithvi Shaw looked in great touch as CSK desperately searched for a way to break the partnership.

And finally CSK got their much needed break. David Warner goes for the unconventional reverse lap shot. And situated towards the end of the circle, the young slinger took off. Pathirana flew to take a sensational one-handed catch, much to the shock of David Warner and Delhi Capitals.

Even former CSK skipper MS Dhoni was surprised with the catch and went on to applaud the heroics of the young Lankan pacer. It was a huge catch and dismissal for CSK in terms of changing the momentum of the game. Following this dismissal, Chennai Super Kings went on to strike again, and this time the other opener Prithvi Shaw had to depart.
