From selling street food and staying in a tent in Mumbai to winning matches for Team India, opener Yashasvi Jaiswal is cricket’s most inspiring rags-to-riches story. Jaiswal, who has been in dream form in the ongoing IND vs ENG Test series, has bought himself his dream home worth Rs 5.38 Crore in Mumbai.
As reported by Moneycontrol, the Indian opener registered the deal for the apartment in the Ten BKC project at Bandra East, which spans 1,110 square feet, on January 7th, 2024.
From hardship to glory
While Jaiswal is enjoying the highs of his international career, he still reminisces the struggles during his teenage years that helped him become a strong person.
“I will never forget those days of struggle. That made me tough and mentally strong”, Jaiswal had said in an interview to Hindustan Times in 2022.
Jaiswal’s latest heroics, where he slammed an unbeaten double century in Rajkot Test, pushed him into the top 15 of the ICC Test batting rankings for the first time.
The 22-year-old has amassed 545 runs in three Test matches so far and is eyeing to break Sunil Gavaskar’s long standing record of most runs as an opener in a Test series in the remaining two matches.
The fourth Test of the 5-match Test series will begin on February 23 in Ranchi.
