Chasing 203 runs to win the Renegades were expected to come out all guns blazing. However  the Adelaide Strikers bowling made things difficult by making early inroads. Renegades opening pair of Martin Guptill and Marcus Harris were dismissed cheaply. Skipper Aaron Finch had a bad day with the bat scoring just 2 runs.

Simon Harper put in a fight by playing some big shots. However his innings was cut short by Benjamin Menanti.  Harper was dismissed for 63 off 36 balls ending Renegades hopes of comeback.  Matt Critchley (33) and Will Sutherland (31) played an entertaining cameo knocks but partnership wasn’t enough to take the team to victory.

Chris Lynn produced yet another superb show with the bat to help Adelaide Strikers reach 202/4 in the BBL clash on Tuesday, January 10. Melbourne Renegades skipper Aron Finch has won the toss against Adelaide Strikers and elected to field first. The opening pair of Matthew Short and Ryan Gibson put on 63 run stand for the opening wicket. Chris Lynn continued to score runs at one end and was well supported by  Adam Hose (33) as the duo put on 58 run stand. Following Hose dismissal Colin de Grandhomme and Lynn put on 64 run partnership for the fourth wicket. Lynn remained unbeaten in 69 runs to take team’s total past 200 runs.
