Still have two games left: Ben Stokes vows to fight back after Bazball falls flat in Rajkot

India were under pressure with injuries and absentees but Ben Stokes-led England failed to take advantage and lost the IND v ENG Rajkot Test by 434 runs.

England Cricket Team captain Ben Stokes has vowed to fight back after going 1-2 down in the five-match IND vs ENG Test series. Despite going 1-0 up after win in Hyderabad, England’s Bazball approach has fallen flat. Their aggressive tactics have often been dubbed reckless and that’s how England were bowled out for 122 runs in just a session. But Ben Stokes is not giving up. With two Tests left, he wants to shut the outside noise and has warned India.

“Opinions in the dressing room are the ones that matter to us. We’re 2-1 down in the series but still have two games left. We leave this game behind, know we’ve got to win the next two to win the series,” Ben Stokes said after IND vs ENG Rajkot Test.

Where did England go wrong?

However, despite losing the Vizag Test, no one thought England would fall flat on the flatest deck of Rajkot. Ben Duckett showed the way slamming fastest Test century by an Englishman.

However, England lost last eight wickets for just 90 runs after his knock. And that’s where England surrendered the IND vs ENG Rajkot Test. Joe Root was crticised for his reckless reverse scoop that was caught easily by Yashasvi Jaiswal. And the second innings was just an extension of their poor batting.

Joe Root, Jonny Bairstow and Ben Stokes all failed as England were bowled out for only 122 runs. And India ended up with the biggest win by 434 runs in a Test match.

“Ben Duckett played an unbelievable innings, that was the tone we wanted to set with the bat. It was about identifying opportunities to score and push up to their total. With how the wicket was going we wanted to push it on as much as we could but sometimes that doesn’t work out,” Ben Stokes said after the IND vs ENG Rajkot Test.
