Australia’s star batter, Steve Smith, joked that his teammate Alex Carey had a haircut ahead of the 4th Ashes Test, which begins on July 19th (Wednesday) at Old Trafford in Manchester. The 34-year-old claimed on his official Twitter that the keeper-batter also paid for the haircut by publishing their image.

Smith’s statement came in response to a UK barber accusing Carey of having a haircut and then leaving the shop without paying for the haircut. The barber stated that he would be upset if he did not receive his £30 by the deadline for the third Ashes Test at Headingly. However, the former England captain Alastair Cook later confirmed that the incident was a case of mistaken identity.
On Tuesday, Smith took to his official Twitter handle and posted a caption, saying, “I can confirm that Alex Carey has now had a haircut and that he paid for it.”
As mentioned above, the Aussies are set to take on Three Lions in the fourth Test match slated to start from July 19 onwards. The visitors are currently leading the series by 2-1. However, they will want to take the English side lightly who made a remarkable comeback in the series after winning the previous match. Ben Stokes and Co. will need to win the next encounter at any cost to stay alive in the series.
