The supporters are baffled by the couple’s decision to be married at this point in the ODI series, which will conclude on November 30 with Sri Lanka attempting to tie the series. Afghanistan lead 3-match-series 1-0.
Kasun Rajitha, Charith Asalanka, and Pathum Nissanka must return to join their national teammates in the third and final One Day International, which will be played at the same venue.

Afghanistan vs Sri Lanka – The washed out game in Colombo
In terms of the series, the second ODI was called off when it appeared that Sri Lanka would tie the series. They had limited the visitors to 236 runs after they had elected to bat first. Afghanistan collapsed in the second half of the innings despite half-centuries from Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Rahmat Shah. Kasun Rajitha was a standout performer, taking three wickets.
Sri Lanka had only scored 10 runs in 2.4 overs when rain intervened, and play was never resumed. They would have liked to chase down 237 runs, but rain continued to fall, forcing the match to be called off. This has only complicated Sri Lanka’s chances of qualifying for the World Cup next year.
Afghanistan, on the other hand, benefited and qualified for the 2023 ODI World Cup. Sri Lanka will now try to make amends by tying the series on November 30.
