SRH vs RR Live: Sanju Samson press conference – Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson addressed the media on Monday at 12 PM ahead of the Sunrisers Hyderabad clash in Pune on Tuesday (March 29). Notably, Parag has been simply outstanding for RR in the practice sessions. Recently, he made heads turn when he blitzed a 43 ball 88 in a practice match. The youngster has been with the Royals for 3 years but has not been very convincing yet. However, Samson expects him to fire all cylinders in IPL 2022.

SRH vs RR Live: Sanju Samson on Riyan Parag realizing his true potential
“He has all it takes to go all the way. He has big potential and something big can happen. We have a fixed role for him at the death. Parag is also the designated finisher of the team. Sometimes he will get to play only 30 balls or 5 balls. We have given him a license to go out there and express himself,” Samson said in the press conference, which was held on Facebook live.

SRH vs RR Live: Samson also spoke about former Sri Lankan pacer and Mumbai Indians legend Lasith Malinga, who recently joined the Royals as the bowling coach. The 27-year-old said:
“It is great to have Lasith and also Kumar Sangakkara. Every player admires them. Malinga makes sounds bowling quite simple. He gave a very interesting insight and shared there are also two batters in world cricket – left-hand batter and right-hand batter. We just have to bowl accordingly.”
SRH vs RR: Samson on RR’s death bowling
Bowling at the death has been one of the major issues for RR over the 2 years, but the skipper expects things to be better this time around, as RR have bought bolstered their bowling contingent with the additions of Prasidh Krishna, Trent Boult, Nathan Coulter-Nile, and Navdeep Saini.
Samson is pretty happy with the bowlers he has got and feels the death bowling issue is sorted now. “Death bowling is one thing we have addressed. We have enough options to play around,” Samson added.
