SRH vs RCB Head-To-Head: The past record in numbers
The competition between the two franchises has been intense over the years. The rivalry has produced some of the greatest IPL matches. Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore have played a total of 22 matches against each other. SRH dominates the head-to-head records, winning 12 matches, while RCB has managed nine wins. One match was abandoned due to rain.
IPL 2013 saw the first match between the two teams, in which SRH defeated RCB in the semi-final. Till 2016, both teams were neck and neck, winning four matches each. SRH has had an edge in the rivalry since 2017 and won eight of the remaining 14 matches.
In the last match between Hyderabad and Bangalore, RCB emerged as the winners, defeating SRH by 67 runs. Skipper Faf du Plessis scored 73 runs off 50 balls for RCB. Rahul Tripathi was the top performer from the SRH camp, scoring 58 runs off 37 balls. Wanindu Hasaranga was named the player of the match, claiming five wickets for 18 runs.
While RCB will be pushing for a win to make it to the Playoffs, SRH will be keen to end their disastrous IPL 2023 campaign on a high with a win in front of their home fans. This is SRH’s last home game before they travel to Mumbai to play their last league match of the season. Whose might is bigger – SRH or RCB?
