SRH vs CSK: Abhishek Sharma & Aiden Markram take Hyderabad to another win

Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings are coming off losses away from home against the Gujarat Titans and the Delhi Capitals.

SRH vs CSK Live Score, Match 18: Aiden Markram and Abhishek Sharma ensured that they took Sunrisers Hyderabad to a rousing win over Chennai Super Kings, as the latter lost their second consecutive match. But the foundations of the SRH win were laid in the first innings itself, courtesy of solid bowling spells by Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Pat Cummins, who returned with match figures of 1/28 & 1/29, respectively.

Who Won Yesterday’s IPL Match?

Sunrisers Hyderabad registered their second win in four matches this year, after beating Chennai Super Kings by six wickets on Friday. It was largely due to the efforts of Shivam Dube (45), that CSK managed to score 165, but that didn’t prove enough on the day. Abhishek Sharma scored 37 off 12, and Markram smashed 50 from 36 to take Hyderabad home.

Who Lost Yesterday’s IPL Match?

MS Dhoni and Ruturaj Gaikwad’s CSK couldn’t perform to their best against SRH, and lost by six wicket, with 11 balls to spare. After scoring 165, the bowlers could not defend the target, with Mukesh Choudhary leaking 27 runs in one over. Moeen Ali tried to shift the momentum with his 2/23, but that wasn’t enough.

Cummins takes pace off

The skipper is leading from the front and not giving any pace on the ball. Cummins ends up giving four runs only. It is 84/2 in 10 overs.

Dube explodes

Out of nowhere, Dube has just changed the complexion of the match, as he smashed 25 off 10 balls. This is excellent as CSK reach 80/2 in 9 overs.

Gaikwad out

Another painful stay for Gaikwad ends. He scored 26 from 21 balls as CSK 54/2.

Rahane gets a move on

Bhuvi slams a four on the first ball itself. A good start to the over, but CSK need a lot more runs here. Gaikwad gets a four finally. SRH still on top. It’s 48/1 after 6 overs.

Cummins bowls one on good length, and Rahane launches it into the orbit. What a six. It is 33/1 after 5 overs.

Bhuvi strikes

The pressure was mounting on Rachin and he skies one off Bhuvi. He is out for 12 as CSK 25/1.

Natarajan starts now. He maintains tight lines, but Rachin manages to get a four here. CSK crawl at 25/0 after 3 overs.

It’s going pretty well, the group is responding well. Nothing much changes for me, obviously this is a new challenge, but I’m feeling good. Pathirana has a niggle – three changes for us, Moeen Ali,Theekshana and Mukesh Chowdhary come in. The bowlers are ready to go and so are the youngsters.
