SRH playing XI vs RR: Ishan Kishan to bat at number 3, who will be the impact sub?

SRH is playing their first match of IPL 2025 against Rajasthan Royals in Hyderabad.

The first double header is underway on Sunday, and Sunrisers Hyderabad are taking on Rajasthan Royals in the first match of the day at IPL 2025. Rajasthan won the toss and decided to bowl first. It means Pat Cummins-led SRH will be batting first today. It’s hot and sunny day at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium. Cummins have come up with the same core and some new additions in the squad, so the playing XI is different this time.

Travis Head and Abhishek to open, Ishan Kishan at no. 3

Just like the last season, Travis Head and Abhishek will open the innings. The team’s brand new addition, Ishan Kishan, who shifted from Mumbai Indians to SRH, will be batting at number 3. Nitish Kumar Reddy will come before Heinrich Klaasen, who will bat at number five.

Simarjeet over Unadkat

Captain has trusted Simarjeet Singh over veteran Jayden Unadkat as he is benched for the match. Along with Simarjeet, there are 3 full-time pacers, including Mohammed Shami, Harshal Patel and Pat Cummins who lead SRH.

Who will come as Impact Sub?

The big question is, who will come as an impact sub? Since, the team has only played 3 overseas players in the XI, it seems like one more overseas player will be coming as the impact substitution. Since, they already have a lot of pacers in the team, Adam Zampa is expected to make it into the XI in the second innings.
