SRH playing XI vs GT: Pat Cummins leaves out Harshal Patel, Jaydev Unadkat in

Despite starting with a win in IPL 2025, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) batting has struggled big time, leading to downfall this year.

So, a struggling SRH side were put into bat by Shubman Gill, after GT won the toss, in their IPL 2025 fixture on Sunday. Unfortunately for Sunrirsers Hyderabad, Harshal Patel was excluded from the playing XI due to an illness, and instead veteran pacer Jaydev Unadkat was picked.

But that should not be much of a worry for the team, as it is their batting which has been the problem till now. Pat Cummins said at toss, “Happy to bat first. We want to be aggressive. It’s a ground we like batting at, we scored 280 at this venue not so long ago. We need to play our best. Need to focus on our strengths. Harshal Patel misses as he is ill, Jaydev Unadkat comes in.”

Jaydev Unadkat Gets 1st Match in IPL 2025

In four matches till now, Patel had bagged as many wickets, at an average of 30, and an economy of 9.38. ON the other hand, Unadkat was poor for SRH in the last season, and will be playing his first match in IPL 2025. In 2024, in 11 matches, he ended up with only eight wickets, at an economy of 10.23.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (Playing XI): Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Heinrich Klaasen(w), Aniket Verma, Kamindu Mendis, Pat Cummins(c), Zeeshan Ansari, Jaydev Unadkat, Mohammed Shami.

Gujarat Titans (Playing XI): Sai Sudharsan, Shubman Gill(c), Jos Buttler(w), Shahrukh Khan, Rahul Tewatia, Washington Sundar, Rashid Khan, Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Ishant Sharma.
