In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction, SRH will strengthen their squad with a strong retention list.

Runners-up in 2024, SRH aims to bolster their squad in the 2025 IPL auction, scheduled for November 24-25 in Jeddah. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) debuted in 2013 and claimed their maiden IPL title in 2016. The franchise boasts one of the strongest retained squads, with T20 specialists like Heinrich Klaasen, Travis Head, and Abhishek Sharma. Pat Cummins will lead the side.

SRH’s retentions have amounted to a total of Rs 75 crore, leaving them with a remaining purse of Rs 45 crore. Key players like Travis Head and Pat Cummins greatly enhance SRH’s squad balance and depth. Head provides stability at the top of the order, capable of handling spin and adding power to the middle order. He can either anchor innings or accelerate as needed. Cummins, known for his pace, leadership, and expertise in death overs, will spearhead the bowling attack and play a crucial role in high-pressure situations.

SRH RTM card in IPL 2025 mega auction

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have one remaining RTM card for the IPL 2025 auction. However, they can only use it to acquire an uncapped player, as all five of their retained players are capped.

SRH potential buys

Mohammed Siraj, Mohammed Shami, and Yuzvendra Chahal could be among SRH’s potential targets in the auction. The team currently lacks an Indian pacer and a quality spinner, making it crucial for them to focus on acquiring skilled bowlers to strengthen their bowling unit.
