Sports fraternity came together to express their concern and offer support to flood victims amidst cyclone Michuang in Chennai. From cricketers to Indian football clubs, all took to X (Formerly known as Twitter) to pray for the victims.
Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin expressed his concern on the flood situation, as he posted: “Looks grim! With all the hours of rain predicted. Stay safe.”
Indian cricketer and commentator Dinesh Karthik also took to X and hailed the officials for working tirelessly to improve the situation.
“Chennai folks, please prioritize your safety and stay indoors – it’s crucial during times like these. A big salute to all the officials working tirelessly to improve the situation. Let’s all cooperate and get through this together”, DK posted.
The official page of Indian Super League (ISL) posted the contact details of relief centres and helpline numbers to extend help to people who are stuck in the flooded areas.

Heavy rain continued to flood Chennai and its neighbourhoods on Monday due to Cyclone Michaung. Schools, offices and airport has been closed down due to severe rain fall in the area. The Chennai police confirmed that they received reports of five deaths across city due to the heavy rains.
The cyclone is likely to cross the South Andhra Pradesh coast on the morning of December 5.
