Spectators sleeping as IND vs WI 2nd Test turns into a snoozefest

While for few Test cricket is pinnacle, for Caribbean crowds it does not seem to be interesting

IND vs WI: While the Ashes 2023 Test series might be keeping the audience hooked in Australia, England, and sub-continent nations, Test cricket in West Indies is boring. Well, at least for a one Caribbean fan who dozed off despite Virat Kohli looking in fine touch during day one of the second Test match between India vs West Indies. Barring a few fans watching the Test match, there was not even a great turnout of crowds in Port of Spain.

Journalist Vimal Kumar uploaded a video wherein he showed both images and gave a fitting caption that read, “Test cricket just updated its current status in Trinidad on social media.”

Speaking about the second Test match, India as usual, dominated West Indies with bat in hand, putting on 288 runs on board with the loss of just four wickets. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma stroked sublime fifties, while Kohli looked at his fluent best, scoring an unbeaten 87 in his 500th international game. India would be looking to post a big score on day two, while West Indies would be hoping to pick some wickets.

IND vs WI: Virat Kohli eyeing 76th International ton, aims to break overseas Test century drought

This is by far the fluent best Kohli has looked in Test cricket in recent times. From shot selection to running between the wickets, the former India captain was in control of the innings. There was intent and positivity by Kohli to score some quick runs. On day two, Kohli would be hoping to convert his fifty into a big daddy hundred. It has been over four years since the right-hand batter has scored a ton overseas.

With India in a dominant position, the former India captain is setting sights on his 76th international ton. Kohli has also ticked two major milestones going past Jacques Kallis and Virender Sehwag’s records of most international runs and most test runs for India respectively.
