South Africa Playing XI vs India: Proteas skipper Temba Bavuma decides to FIELD both Rossouw and Stubbs ahead of T20 WC in IND vs SA series – Follow LIVE Updates
SA Playing XI – Temba Bavuma will return to the top of the order in what is expected to be a strong line up for the IND vs SA 1st T20I. The Proteas captain will partner Quinton de Kock at the top of the order continuing a solid partnership.
Rassie van Der Dussen, David Miller, and Aiden Markram have established themselves in the middle order and the visitors have no need to change their fixed core. At No.6, the Proteas have been spoilt for options with Rilee Rossouw, Tristan Stubbs, and Heinrich Klassen all in contention.
Among the trio, Rossouw and Stubbs have made their cases strongly in their previous matches against England. Stubbs was part of the India series earlier this year but did not make it count, handing the veteran a possible advantage.

India’s struggles against left-arm pace could Wayne Parnell pip Dwaine Pretorius to the all-round spot. Both did admirably well in the 2-2 draw earlier this year, but Parnell’s variety and experience give him an edge. The bowling meanwhile is set in stone with spin twins Keshav Maharaj and Tabraiz Shamsi. Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje are the preferred pacers, with Lungi Ngidi also a very good option available.
