Babar Azam once again failed to deliver when it mattered most in the ongoing series against Bangladesh. In the first Rawalpindi Test, the right-handed batter, despite hitting three fours in the second innings, couldn’t capitalize and got out for just 22 runs.
Pakistan vs Bangladesh
Pakistan is currently going deeper into trouble after wrongly declaring the innings at 448 runs, which initially looked good. However, thanks to the Bangladesh batters, especially Mushfiqur Rahim’s 191, Bangla Tigers posted a massive score of 565 runs.
Azam, in the first innings, got a silver duck, and now fans are all over him. Some say he is a “so-called king,” while others ask, “how can he be in the Fab 4 if he doesn’t even have a half-century in the last 14 innings?” Azam’s last international century was against Nepal on 30th August 2023, and his last Test century was against New Zealand on 26th December 2022. This is why everyone is scrutinizing him, and it’s fair to say, rightly so.
