And then Shafali Verma, who made the fastest double century, India were able to score 525 runs on day one.

Going deeper into the stats, India not only made this huge run total in a day’s play but also broke a 89-year-old record. In 1932 in Christchurch, the total runs between New Zealand women and England women was 475 in a day’s play, which was the highest until today. New Zealand were bundled out for 44 runs, but the England women had made 431 runs with the loss of four wickets.
