The 17th edition of the SMAT 2024 commenced on November 23, featuring 32 teams.

The top five ranked teams and the best second-placed team secured direct entry into the quarter-finals. The remaining four second-placed teams competed in pre-quarterfinal matches, with the winners completing the quarter-final lineup.
