One of the contenders for the T20 World Cup 2024, Sri Lanka, suffered a huge jolt against Netherlands in their first warm-up match. Netherlands proved too hot to handle for Sri Lanka as Wanindu Hasaranga and co. were beaten by 20 runs by the Dutch side. Sri Lanka won the toss at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad and Tobago and elected to bowl first. Netherlands scored 181/5 in the first innings. In reply, Sri Lanka were bowled out for 161.
