M Theekshana picks up a side injury: Maheesh Theekshana encountered a side injury during Sri Lanka’s final fixture against the Netherlands in the qualifying group on Friday. Sri Lanka skipper Dasun Shanka confirmed that the injury however is not much concerning and the off-spinner is likely to be back for the other upcoming games. Theekshana has been the leading wicket-taker for the side and Islanders will miss his services. In three games, Theekshana has picked up 8 wickets and is the second-highest wicket-taker in the tournament so far.
The right arm off-break Akila Dhananjaya is most likely to come up at his place. Dhananjaya hasn’t featured in the three games played so far and will be playing his first game in the tournament.
