In the post-match press conference after the IND vs AFG match of T20 World Cup, Suryakumar Yadav was left visibly amused when a journalist mistakenly called him ‘Siraj’.

The player of the match who scored an important half-century against Afghanistan was taking questions from the media after the match when the incident occurred. Suryakumar’s witty response to him being misnamed left the whole conference room in splits.

When the journalist mistakenly started his question with “Siraj”, Suryakumar took a moment to understand what was happening. After the pause, SKY was his usual self, making a joke out of the mistake.

“Siraj toh nehi hai yaar, Siraj bhai khaana khaa rahe hain (Siraj is not here, he is having dinner),” Suryakumar quipped, leaving the whole conference room in splits.

Mohammed Siraj, who’s name spurred the hillarious reaction, was benched in favour of Kuldeep Yadav for the game against Afghanistan. India won the game convincingly by 47 runs, bundling the Afghans out for 134 while defending 181.
