A duck in the first innings and Shubman Gill has punched a fine fifty in the IND vs ENG 3rd Test in Rajkot. Gill’s spot in the team came under the scanner. However the youngster preserved his spot courtesy of a fine century in Vizag. After an unfortunate duck in Rajkot, Gill has showed his patience. And the patience has yielded fine result.

Shubman Gill went on to stitch a 100+ run partnership with Yashasvi Jaiswal. While the young southpaw hammered yet another ton, Gill reciprocated with a gritty fifty. Taking his time and punishing the poor balls, Gill slammed 4 fours and a two sixes to reach his half century.

While poor form has been a concern for the young batter, Gill is finally regaining his confidence with crucial knocks. The young hard hitter is now accommodating at his new number 3 spot in the Test set-up. He slammed his maiden century at the new position in the previous game.

But Gill’s first innings was poor. The young batter departed without troubling the scoreboard. But showing a testament to his patience, he played second fiddle to the in-form Yashasvi Jaiswal slammed another ton. Finally after a much awaited wait, he slams a fine fifty in Rajkot.
