Shubman Gill learns ‘art of discipline from Rohit Sharma’ in savage Insta post, rubbishes ‘indiscipline’ rumours

There were a lot of rumours floating around the Indian top-order batter with various reports claiming Gill was being sent home because of disciplinary issues.

Is Shubman Gill being sent home from US because of ‘disciplinary issues’? That is the question that has been rocking the India cricket circuit after reports emerged that the BCCI was not happy with some of Shubman’s activities. There were also rumours of Gill having a rift with Indian skipper Rohit Sharma. Gill, who had not reacted to these reports till now, countered the allegations in style on Sunday. He put up pictures of himself and Rohit Sharma on social media with a sassy caption about ‘learning the art of discipline’.

Shubman Gill coming back to India

Shubman Gill failed to make it to India’s 15-man squad of the T20 World Cup and was named among the travelling reserves along with 4 other players. However, reports emerged that Gill would be sent home along with Avesh Khan before the Super Eight stage begins. While a lot of rumours spread about the reason for sending Gill back, the real reason was revealed immediately.

Rumours of rift between Shubman Gill-Rohit Sharma

There were also rumours about Gill being at loggerheads with Indian skipper Rohit Sharma. Gill allied both those rumours through his Instagram story on Sunday. He put up two pictures on social media, one with him and Rohit Sharma and the other with Rohit Sharma’s daughter along with the duo.

Gill captioned the picture, “Sammy and I learning the art of discipline from Rohit Sharma.” It can be hoped that the rumours surrounding Gill would die down after the post.
