Shreyas Iyer was brought back by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs 9.5 crore in Ravichandran Ashwin's mock auction

The mock auction conducted by Ravichandran Ashwin saw Shreyas Iyer returning to KKR for Rs 9.5 crore ahead of the IPL 2025 season. The swashbuckling batter was released by the franchise ahead if IPL 2025 auction despite leading the side to their third title in 3 years. KKR have officially retained Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Rinku Singh, Varun Chakravarthy, Harshit Rana and Ramandeep Singh.

Shreyas Iyer was brought back by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs 9.5 crore in Ravichandran Ashwin’s mock auction. Meanwhile, England star Liam Livingstone – who was released by PBKS – was roped in for Rs 11 cr in the mock auction, making him one of the most expensive overseas buys. England opener Phil Salt was also roped into the side for Rs 5.5 crore after enjoying a phenomenal IPL 2024 season.

SRH star Abdul Samad and LSG’s Avesh Khan were also bagged by the franchise for Rs 2.5 crore and Rs 6 crore respectively in the mock auction. the backup options that KKR bid for include Rahamullah Gurbaz, uncapped player Angkrish Raghuvanshi.

  5. Retention 5: (Rs 4 crore) (uncapped) -Harshit Rana
