India’s star batter Shreyas Iyer makes it into the playing XI of the IND vs ENG 2nd ODI at Cuttack. The same Shreyas who accidentally made it into the XI in the first ODI is not getting another chance in the second game. This time Gautam Gambhir and captain Rohit Sharma makes not mistake as Iyer performed well in the 1st ODI. This is an important inclusion for Team India as Shreyas Iyer is someone who could contribute a lot to the team on number 4. Now Virat Kohli comes into the team, not replacing Shreyas but Yashasvi Jaiswal.

Shreyas Iyer made it into the XI for the injured Virat Kohli. The team wasn’t fully confident in him. He wasn’t set to play in the first ODI against England, but an unexpected injury to Virat Kohli gave him a chance. “I wasn’t supposed to play. Virat got injured, and I got the opportunity,” Iyer shared in Nagpur. However, Shreyas impressed everyone in the first ODI, scoring a solid 56 runs in 36 balls, which helped India to achieve victory by 4 wickets.
